The system is designed for the production of tapes for variety of applications mainly stretched tapes for packaging. The machines can be equipped at an extra cost to produce fibrillated tapes, folded tapes, low shrinkage tapes etc.


Infrastructure facilities to be provided by customer:

According to the specification of machine layout plans, the customer has to provide: foundation, of a plain concrete floor with a load of 2500 kg/m2, mains input, cooling water and compressed air supply


TECHNICAL SCHEDULE

The system mainly consists of:

EXTRUDER, TYPE Z120.33D

The extruder is designed clearly and ergonomically to ensure a comfortable handling and quick maintenance.

Completely mounted on a common and strong base/ground frame.

Main drive by AC Motor, Siemens ( China), drived by the inverter of Telemecanique

Bimetallic barrel with watercooled feeding zone

Incl. air cooling and heating equipment.

Wear resistant feed screw and screw-cylinder

With special mixing and homogenization zones.

Extruder melting capacity with reference material PP HC115FB from Messrs. Borealls AG., max.600kg/hr

Working range for common PP raffia grade, with MFI approx. 3-5 g/10min.

PROCESSOR CONTROL

All control loops are centrally managed.

The temperature control operates with automatic optimization which ensures a quick heating of the line.

All driving units are communication with the computer programmable control via a serial POWER LINK by which a high precision and short cycle times are obtained.


The following functions are performed:

The recipe managerment, the alarm managerment, the issue of reports for machine parameters(speeds, temperatures, stretching ratios).


The hardware consists of an industrial PC with display or screen as well as a computer programmable control.


Advantages:

All machine parameters for different tape qualities can be stored in the recipe management and can be called up immediately upon request. This allows the exact reproduction of a quality tape already supplied.


The control can be networked with a central data management system.

The control ensures also a precise production recording. Reasons for faults can be found easily.


TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED LOCK-OUT DEVICE (Only available in PC control system)

For the main drive motor to protect the extruder, filter and flat-die against cold start up


AUTOMATIC FILTER SYSTEM

Arranged between the extruder and flat die for filtering out the impurities of the melt, equipped with heating element.


Filter screen feeding is regulated either pressure-dependent(automatic operation) or manually via a temperature and time controlled heating element.


With facility for taking up 10 meters of screen band. Working pressure max.30 Mpa depending on raw material to be used.

MELT PRESSURE GAUGE

Arranged upstream of the filter, and combined melt pressure/melt temperature gauge upstream of the flat die with readout on the central control panel of the extruder
